STAL was founded in 1991. At the first stage of its development, the company focused on the sale, installation and servicing of metal doors. In 1993, its own assembly and finishing workshop began operating, and in 1998 the company started building its own production facilities. Development was steady, with capacity increasing gradually. Today, the company has its own factory in Moscow with a full metal-door production cycle (stamping, cutting, bending, welding, painting, panel production, assembly, installation and service). Steel sheets and semi-finished panels made in Russia and abroad, along with European locks, enter the production process; the result is some of the best-known doors in Moscow. Independent quality control at every production stage, especially strict final inspection, and the fact that production takes all service-department feedback into account allow STAL to manufacture some of the highest-quality doors in Russia.

Sound management policies, experienced employees (many of whom have worked with the company for more than 15 years!), and a well-coordinated team have enabled the company to achieve strong results and establish a respected position in the door market. STAL is a regular participant in the international MosBuild construction exhibition and took part in SOCHI-BUILD 2009. In addition, in 2008 the STAL company flag was raised on the western summit of Mount Elbrus — the highest point in Europe — meaning that STAL was, quite literally, above everyone else in Europe!

• Installation of high-security locks: on STAL-65 and STAL-100 models, the entire lock-pocket area is protected by at least 6 mm of standard steel and 4.5 mm of special steel. All openings in the armor plate align as precisely as possible with the keyways, and protective escutcheons are fitted by default.
• Adjustable strike plates (STAL-65, 100) — no filing is required either during installation or later if adjustment becomes necessary.
